AC Compressors & Mounting Kits
A compressor that doesn't line up with the engine's bracket, belt path, or pulley offset isn't a replacement part. It's a second repair order. O2 Cool Manufacturing supplies AC compressors and mounting kits for commercial buses, emergency vehicles, RVs, and off-road equipment, matched so the compressor, bracket, and drive components go on together the first time.
Fleet shops and upfitters come to O2 Cool for three things: a complete AC compressor kit, a mounting kit for a compressor already on the shelf, or a compressor and bracket package for a new HVAC build. For individual compressor models and series, see our automotive HVAC compressors page.
Compressor Mounting Kits
The mounting kit holds the compressor in line with the crankshaft pulley and carries the torque and vibration the compressor puts into the engine block. When that alignment is off by even a small amount, the belt wears unevenly, the clutch bearing takes side load it wasn't designed for, and the compressor fails early. A bracket that fits the engine is what protects the compressor investment.
A mounting kit typically includes the bracket and the hardware to fasten it, and depending on the engine and compressor pairing it may also include idler pulleys, a belt tensioner, or spacers.
Complete AC Compressor Kits
Sourcing the compressor and mounting kit together removes the step where a technician has to confirm that a bracket from one supplier fits a compressor from another. One quote covers the full package, and O2 Cool's team checks compressor displacement, mounting pattern, and clutch pulley groove against the engine before anything ships. That matters most on a repower, a compressor model change, or a new build where no original bracket exists to copy.
Commercial Vehicle AC Compressors by Application
Each vehicle class puts a different load on the compressor and its mount, and O2 Cool's commercial vehicle AC compressors are matched to how the vehicle actually runs:
- Commercial buses: Long daily duty cycles and large passenger cabins keep the compressor engaged for hours at a time.
- Emergency vehicles: Extended idle time on scene means the compressor has to cool a patient compartment or crew cab at low engine speed.
- Recreational vehicles: Motorcoaches and Sprinter van conversions often need compressor and bracket combinations that fit tight engine bays.
- Off-road equipment: Dust, shock loads, and constant vibration make bracket strength and fastener retention the first concern.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a new mounting kit when I replace the compressor?
Not always. If the replacement is the same compressor model and the existing bracket is straight and uncracked, the original mount can usually be reused. A new mounting kit is needed when the compressor model or mounting pattern changes, when the bracket shows cracks or elongated bolt holes, or on a new build or repower.
Can O2 Cool supply the compressor and mounting kit together?
Yes. O2 Cool supplies both OEM compressors and A/C compressor mounting kits, and can quote them together as a complete AC compressor kit so fitment is confirmed on the full package before it ships.
Which vehicles do your commercial vehicle AC compressors fit?
O2 Cool supplies compressors and mounting kits for commercial buses, ambulances and fire trucks, utility and delivery vehicles, military vehicles, RVs, and off-road equipment. Send the engine make, model, and year to confirm the right compressor and kit for a specific vehicle.
